French duo SomethingALaMode are kinda amazing. One plays a violin and the other plays a cello over their own electro beats. Considering that I got my start in music playing the cello, I have much respect. Check this very dope indie dance number that already has the stamp of one Mr. Karl Lagerfeld.

Deadmau5 does VMAs

For me the best thing about this year's VMAs was the fact that MTV named Deadmau5 as its house artist... continuing the excellent tradition set by Mark Ronson, Wale, and of course AM and Travis Barker.

When I heard him drop this tonight, I was reminded how much this track crushes, and how badly it needs to be officially released.

The only version of this new Wolfgang Gartner banger currently available online is a preview, but so it goes. The preview version is long enough to play out, however, especially now that I added a DJ intro. What really sold me on this is when the MC (who sounds like will.i.am) shouts out DJ AM in the second verse - even calls for a moment of silence for him. This will be big.
