Over (Hyper Crush rmxxx)

Had to post up a banger after re-designing my site. (Looks fresh, right?? haha)

I've had a good number of requests for Drake's new cut "Over," but the beat on the original version goes off kinda weird in the club. So in the spirit of A-Trak's take on "Money to Blow" that I posted up a few weeks back, here "Over" gets a banging re-work by Hyper Crush. Super-fine Holly's vocals sound well, super fine on this. And check the dubstep breakdown! Love it.

The Seed (BBC Radio One version)

I've loved The Roots for well over a decade. Then I saw them live about 4 years ago and found a whole new level of appreciation. Thanks to Philly DJ Isaac Jordan for bringing us this edit of their live take on "The Seed"... so smooth.

This Week's HEAT: Double Dutch / Macys / Infusion Lounge / Manor West

Another big week of amazing events, kicking off tonight at my favorite bar in SF's Mission District - Double Dutch. Last month's party was crazy, including a full b-boy battle on the dance floor. I'll be playing nothing but old school hip hop, funk, soul, breaks, and R&B tonight...

Facebook invite here.

Tomorrow (Friday) I'm spinning at a special fashion event at the Macy's Union Square Men's Store, presented by Out.

Then tomorrow night I'm back at Infusion Lounge, which was just awarded Top 4 new nightclub of the year at the Nightclub & Bar Awards in Las Vegas. I'm teaming up with the talented J. Espinosa for a huge night.

Saturday night I'm back at the amazing Manor West, teaming up once again with Nick Macario for my 4th Saturday residency. Last month was probably the craziest club night I've ever seen in SF. Please join us.

Facebook invite here.

As always, thanks for the support and see you on the floor!

Take Somethin Home (CAMS Party Edit)

If you're a DJ then you are well aware of the lack of new 100 BPM or so heat. Or maybe you're not digging hard enough, haha.
Either way - I got you.
This track came out about a year ago and was relatively overlooked by a lot of radio stations, but then again, that's not saying much.
I've always loved Damani's flow in general, and the collab with Fatman Scoop on this makes it a great club joint, especially now that I made a proper DJ edit and re-arranged the track to make it pop off more. Enjoy!

Armada Latina

This new Cypress Hill track isn't anything like I expected, but it's amazing, and perfect for summertime.
Yes that IS a Crosby Stills & Nash sample you hear. And Marc Anthony and Pitbull both sound tight on this.
Mixing up a Cuba Libre now...

St. Patty's Day

Yes I'm part Irish, but even if I wasn't I'd still be excited for St. Patrick's Day every year because everyone gets down regardless of where they came from. This year I'm very excited to be rocking 2 dope parties in San Francisco.

First I'll be teaming up with the amazing Vintage 415 crew for one of their legendary block parties at Aventine. Do not miss this.

Facebook invite here.

Then tomorrow night I'm joining my good friend Chris Clouse on 4 decks at one of the nicest venues in SF - Slide. Last time we teamed up was in the fall and we've been trying to lock down another date together since it was such a dope party.

Facebook invite here.

As always, thanks for the support and see you in your finest green threads!

Pon De Foley

Straight from the Mad Decent blog, make sure to grab this banger from the Ludachrist crew. I first heard these dudes' remixes a few years back, and they're only getting better.

This one is extra heavy, combining the Axel F. theme from Beverly Hills Cop and Major Lazer's "Pon de Floor."

Check it over at the Mad Decent blog.

This Week's HEAT

Three amazing nights to come get on the dance floor this week, starting tonight at one of the top clubs in the US - Infusion Lounge. Thursdays here are always huge, and you won't find a better soundsystem out there.

This Friday night I'm holding it down at another one of my favorite places to play in SF - Vessel. The homie Tom Roche knows how to throw a damn fun party and the last time we teamed up at Vessel was insane.

Join the guestlist here.

Saturday night I'm making my debut at Sloane. This place is super nice and I'm excited to once again team up with Don't Be Shy Entertainment. It's also the record release party for DBS, and I'll be lacing some of their bangers into my set.

Join the guestlist here.

As always, thanks for the support and see you on the floor!

Way Out (CAMS drum edit)

Got an exclusive for you all...
Brand new heat from Big Sean's forthcoming album Finally Famous, produced by Kanye. The leaked version needed more drums to make it club-ready, so I did a simple edit to make it knock.
This is my JAM right now!

1901 (Panic City edit)

The homie DJ Panic City is a very talented producer as well as DJ, and was nice enough to send over this awesome DJ tool from one of my favorite bands out there.
Make sure to check out all of his stuff over at Crack 4 DJs.

Let's Go Crazy 3.6.10

This Saturday night I'm teaming up with Omari Starks and Sean Saffari of Don't Be Shy Entertainment for a huge party at Apartment 24 in SF. Always love playing here, and Omari and Sean are two talented party-throwers. Will be a great night.

Definition of a Star

Props to the homie DJ D-Sharp for releasing his first single this week - "Definiton of a Star" - a West-coast-influenced banger featuring Bay Area MC's Kev Choice and Tony Vic.

It's hard to find a DJ as talented and humble as D out there, so show some love and make sure to throw this cut into your set!
