New Crookers

I'm a fan of pretty much everything that Crookers lay their hands on. No difference with this new banger.

Enjoy the weekend!

Head, Shoulders, Knees, Toes

At some point, Hip Hop heads became afraid to dance. Then, every time an MC came out with a pure party record meant to have fun they were ridiculed by the “Hip Hop heads”. However, they are missing a huge chunk of Hip Hop history, when MCs would call the b-boys to the floor as well as invite the ladies to dance.

In this tradition, DC's Wale doesn’t forget to have fun by tacking a verse on to “Head, Shoulders, Knees, Toes” which has been heating up dance floors in clubs all around the country already. Lighten up and grab this...

Wale - Head, Shoulders, Knees, Toes

Thanks to Hypetrak.

Dance Area

Discobelle calls this "the biggest track so far this year"...

I'm not totally sure what the deal is with Dance Area, but all I know is that this Diplo remix is an absolute banger.

Dance Area - AA 24/7 (Diplo remix)

New Jay-Z: Money Goes

Whenever a new Hov joint hits the net, the entire blogosphere goes crazy. No exception with this one. Hopefully we'll see this on the much anticipated Blueprint 3.

The Mayor

A nice treat on my birthday...

The Cool Kids, Ghostface Killah, Scarface & the homie DJ AM unite on this spankin' new N.A.S.A. track.

If you don't know what the hell this whole N.A.S.A. thing is about, get to studyin'! And if these names alone don't make you want to check this, maybe you've stumbled upon the wrong blog, haha...

I'm gearing up for a mighty weekend.

Thank you little guy.

the drums, the drums, the drums

Trying to get this drum sample right for a new remix I'm working on.

Think this guy can help me.

I think I actually found this 2 years ago, courtesy of Mix Master Mike...

Look out.

Feed Me

I don't know why more people aren't talking about Feed Me.

This is one of the most devastating tracks I've come across in a while, one Penned Madness describes as "that distinct mau5 edge, with a sprinkle of Grum-powder, a dash of MSTRKRFT-sauce, a squeeze of Justice-Juice, and a savory chocolate garnish of Soulwax. Put 'em all together and you get an active volcano cake of nasty beats. Turn this one up at your own risk..."

Feed Me (aka drum-n-bass producer Spor) reps Deadmau5's Mau5trap label, one I'm watching very closely.

Thanks to the homie Ben H. for the heads up. Now cue up the fist pumps!

Where Brooklyn at???

If you are a fan of hip hop, you need this in your life.
Thank you Mike Nice.
Brooklyn Bullsh*t is chock full of crazy rare, unreleased and demo joints from the likes of Jay-Z, Big Daddy Kane & the Notorious B.I.G.
Look out for Biggie rhyming at the age of 12, Hov at the age of 17 and more! What??!!

Here's a taste...
Hova's demo from 1992...

Santogold vs. Three 6 Mafia

I'm cool with Santogold. I get it. Cute hipster chick from Brooklyn can both sing and flow and is backed by some big producers. Ok.

But I've never found something from her that I really wanted to knock in a club. I mean really knock.

This is it.

Credit to Three 6 Mafia for the remix and thanks to Emynd for the heads up.

Yes

Oh goodness. This could be very big.

Just when I thought it was gonna be a nice, relaxing Sunday, I find this new ridiculousness from Weezy featuring Pharrell, and now my eardrums are begging for mercy. Enjoy.

Hooked On A Feeling

Ahhh, the timeless classic, reworked for the clubs...

Boston remix masters Mash-Up Mafia added that Culo beat, then I chopped and screwed with it. Yes, I've had it up to here with top 40 radio yet again.

Blue Swede - Hooked On A Feeling (Mash-Up Mafia / CAM$$$$ edit)

Oh and if anyone has that Aaron Lacrate "Oogachaka" white label, please hook it up!

Who the hell is DJ Donna Summer?

I love nothing more than randomly finding an unknown-in-these-parts DJ on the MySpace world who makes fire-hot, club-ready remixes.
Exhibit A: Berlin, Germany's DJ Donna Summer.

Guns N' Roses - Sweet Assed Child O Mine (DJ Donna Summer mash)

Manfred Mann - Blinded By The Light (DJ Donna Summer Boot)

Want more?
Check out his Cock Rock Disco site...or just run a search on the good ol' Hype Machine.

Fuego

Certified "Puro Pari" 2009 club banger courtesy of Pitbull.

I've been after the homie Big Syphe on LA's Power 106 to throw me his Akon mashup using this same beat. Syphe, hook it up!!! Anyone got it?

Pitbull - Calle Ocho (Brazil Street Remix)

Kenna

Damn, only a few days into '09 and already the year's breakout artists are all over. At the top of my list so far is Star Trak's Kenna, a dude whose voice has been described as "Prince-meets-Talking Heads-meets-New Order-meets-LCD SoundSystem." He's already joined Timbaland, Nelly Furtado, N.E.R.D., Mark Ronson, and Dave Gahan on tour as well. Nice resume son. If you've been on the Kenna tip already, I commend you. Keep spreading that good word.

This first track was wrapped up just before the new year with The Cool Kids in the mix...

Kenna - Loose Wires (f/ The Cool Kids)

Mark Ronson dropped this second track on his Authentic Shit radio show and set off an internet fire storm...

Kenna - Out of Control (State of Emotion)

Make sure to check his other tracks such as "Say Goodbye To Love".
