DJ Sam Isaac: One Turntable - One Take Mix

San Francisco favorite DJ Sam Isaac is my boy. By day he's battling fires, and by night he's setting them on the dance floor. A skilled music taste-maker, he recently sent me his new mix, recorded live in one take on one turntable.
According to Sam, "It's a bunch of electronic stuff to begin with and some dope old hip hop near the end. Fairly clean and music that I am really feeling right now." True.
Grab this one for the iPod stat...

R.I.P. Brother

I can't tell you how much Adam has influenced me and how much I will miss him. I'll never forget walking into San Francisco's Mezzanine in July 2005 and seeing him DJ live for the first time. I'd never seen anything like that before in my life. I was blown away. That's the first time I truly knew that I wanted to make DJ'ing my life. Every time I work on new material now, I wonder what Adam would have thought. He did so much for me and for every other DJ on the planet. I will never stop trying to be as great as he was. Adam, I will miss you so much. Rest in peace brother.

Live at The Ambassador

Last night at The Ambassador I recorded a live 40-minute set for Brooklyn Radio's The Shake Up. The first 20 minutes is all new electro heat, and the second 20 minutes is a special tribute set for this weekend's Outside Lands festival in SF - a three-day, 100+ act event that attracts 75k+ people a day. So many amazing bands, but I selected a couple party tracks. Thanks to my man Chucky Brown for the help. Check it!!

DJ CAMS: PACKIN' HEAT - Volume I

As promised, I'm very excited to present my new demo to all of you:
DJ CAMS: PACKIN' HEAT - Volume I!!!

Every DJ does his or her demos differently. For me, I want you to get a taste of what you'll hear when you come see me in the club. For that reason, I recorded this demo LIVE in one take on 2 Technics-1200's and an old Pioneer mixer. I didn't do any post-editing trickery on my laptop or add in any audio samples. This is just straight up DJ'ing. ;)

You can stream it here...

BUT you're gonna want to download the whole thing for yourself!

DOWNLOAD NOW.

(Download includes the mp3 for your iPhone/iPod/club system as well as the amazing artwork).

Enjoy!!!

Me, D-Sharp, and Chucky Brown are throwing down for The Shake Up. Live recording for Brooklyn Radio from 10-11pm!
This is the new HEAT.

Friday: HIFI (San Francisco)
I'm on the decks for this crazy bar crawl party...always packed.

Saturdays here are always ridiculous.

White Lines (Solomon / Chris Harnett rmxxx)

The good homie DJ Chris Harnett just hooked me up with this HEATER of a remix that he collaborated with DJ Solomon on.

I posted up their remix of Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust" back in October.

Here they give Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five a banging electro treatment:

Treat Me Like Your Mother

First off, thank you to everyone who blasted through 330 Ritch in SF on Saturday for Saturday Night Live. Party was bananas!

Monday. New music time. Another gem courtesy of my boy Thunder Ruiz.
I heard my fam at LIVE 105 drop this on Saturday afternoon, and it got me all fired up for SNL.
The Dead Weather is Jack White's new project and this their first single is RAW...
In my head, I'm already throwing a Mobb Deep accapella on it.

Saturday Night Live - 8/8/09

This Saturday I'm back at one of the finest music venues in San Francisco, for Nate Mezmer & Mike Fitzgerald's Saturday Night Live!

This party was insane when I rocked it back in June, and this time, with the Designer Deejays and Eight Count alongside we're making it even more ridiculous.

We're also celebrating the bday of my man Alex V.O. of A2 Photography.

To RSVP, check the Facebook invite here or email me here.
