Today I'm very excited to officially release my new mix DJ CAMS: PACKIN' HEAT - Volume II!!! Thank you all for the support you've shown for Volume I which I released in August.
I also want to thank everyone who came out to the official release party for this on Saturday night at Manor West. Hosted by my good friend Nick Macario, it was another amazing night. And a big shout out and thank you to the lovely Nessa from Wild 94.9 for lending her vocal skills to this CD.
As I do with all my mixes, I always record them live in my studio in one take. This time, I also threw a lot more hip hop on there - newer stuff which is blowing up right now. Oh and if you want the actual CD of this, hit me up and I'll send one over!
As always, thanks for the support, and see you in the club!

This Week's HEAT: Slide / Double Dutch / Trigger / Manor West
Huge week of events kicking off tonight at Slide in San Francisco. Chris Clouse and I keep the winning streak going for our monthly party with another 2x4 rockfest.
RSVP here.
Tomorrow night my 4th Thursday party continues at my favorite bar in The Mission - Double Dutch. Last month was completely packed... I'll be laying down nothing but the old school with a special tribute set to the legendary MC Guru.
RSVP here.
Friday night I'm very excited to make my debut at Trigger. Super nice spot and they've been bringing in some awesome DJ talent, so I'm really looking forward to this one.
RSVP here.
Then Saturday night I'm back at the amazing Manor West for my 4th Saturday residency, hosted by my dude Nick Macario. As if this night isn't crazy enough, I'll also be giving away 50 copies of my new CD DJ CAMS: Packin' Heat - Volume II. Do not miss.
RSVP here.
I'm thankful I get to do what I love - work with great people and spin great music. As always, thanks for the support!

Daydreaming (Helsinki 78-82 rmxxx)
I posted Helsinki 78-82's epic track "Cruising" back in February. Hope you grabbed that one.
Now they've done up this awesome remix of Kid Sister. Was just out grabbing solar energy on this amazing day in SF, and had this track on full blast.

Cooler Couleur (Remeddy edit)
So a few hours after posting the banging Junkie XL remix of the Crookers track below, the homie DJ Remeddy hit me up and told me he was working on an edit of that very track. Dude definitely has an ear for it and is a skilled DJ and remixer. As you'll see, the way he lays Justice's anthem "We Are Your Friends" over this takes it to a whole other level.
And as a sneak preview, this is also one of the tracks from my brand new mix, dropping very soon!!!

Cooler Couleur (Junkie XL rmxxx)
Italian DJ/producer duo Crookers released their first proper album Tons of Friends last month and it's definitely an all-star effort. Crookers' album version of "Cooler Couleur" featuring French group Yelle sounds like some obscure pop track, that is until Junkie XL grabbed it. He raised the tempo about 25 BPM and added some banging electro lines, including a guitar solo that made me flashback to the glory days of hair metal. Absolute banger here.

I Made It (Mother Superior rmxxx)
When this Kevin Rudolf track first dropped in January, my friend Alex of A2 Productions said "You have to find an electro version of this." He's right...
Sure the original version is a head nodder, but I like this electro rework from Mother Superior much more. Mother Superior is the side project of DJ/producer FnDannyBoy and MC Metafisix (who sounds dope on this, in place of Birdman and Weezy).

This Week's HEAT: Infusion Lounge / ESW / Mr. Smith's
Three awesome parties this week...
Tonight I'm back at Infusion Lounge spinning bangers on one of SF's best soundsystems. I love playing Thursdays here - always packed.
Get on the guestlist.
Tomorrow night (Friday) I'm at Eastside West - always crazy fun.
Then Saturday night I'm back at Mr. Smith's - one of my favorite places to spin in SF. They never use promoters, and it's always packed. Thunder Ruiz and crew will take care of you.

You're Not My Girl (Jesse Marco rmxxx)
A member of the all-star Deckstar crew, DJ Jesse Marco has been churning out some super fine tunes. Take his take on this Ryan Leslie track - one of the smoothest, jazziest, illest tracks I've heard in a while.
