Remix Sunday

I have much respect for the art of remixing. Keeping the good elements of a song, then bringing it to amazing new levels. Here are two fine examples.

The first comes to us from Amsterdam's Don Diablo, who takes a mellow track from UK's One eskimO and turns it into a gorgeous, 96-bpm electro one.

The second is a classic track from one of my favorite bands out there - Yeah Yeah Yeahs. We've all heard this song plenty of times. But the way that UK's Elite Force lays beautiful orchestrations on top of banging electro beats gets a serious tip of the cap from me.

A-Trak remixes Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Here it is... your new fall/winter dance anthem.
I've had the original track on heavy repeat, but when A-Trak officially released a high quality version of his remix this week, I fell in love all over again.

Zero (N.A.S.A. rmxxx)

Karen O and co. are back at it again.
On the remix tip, as much as I love MSTRKRFT, didn't really feel their take on the first single "Zero." This one - from the talented duo N.A.S.A. - however, is hot.
