Clumsy

Slept on this remix for a minute. Love it. RedFoo of LA hipster rap/pop duo LMFAO did this up nice!

LMFAO f/ Fergie - Clumsy (RedFoo remix)

Turkey and sweatpants

I'm thankful. Had an amazing Thanksgiving on Thursday and then, with a belly still full of turkey, rolled through my high school's 10-year reunion last night. Damn we had a good class. Great to see everyone. Hit it Cube...

808s & Heartleak

Power 106 mixers DJ Sour Milk and Just-N-Credible, aka the Los Angeles Leakers, threw this tight mix together in celebration of Kanye's new release. If you can just look past the audio samples of Kanye opening his mouth during interviews, 808s and Heartleak is a great summary of why we really love the man and are (sometimes) willing to look past his arrogance...he makes dope beats.

Los Angeles Leakers - 808s & Heartleak

Squeeze Me

Straight party funk from 3 dudes from the Netherlands, aka Kraak & Smaak... Love this.

Tell Everybody That You Know

Mr. West's album drops next week, but as you know it is already all over the world wide web.
My Prankster Dice partner-in-crime Professor Bang and I took this confusing, beatless track (featuring Lil Wayne) from 808's & Heartbreak and reworked it for the clubs. I envision it working into my set around 1am, giving people a little half-time breather before building back up into a frenzy... Enjoy.

(Track removed by request.)

Choice Cuts from the Designer Deejays

The homies Just and Dan-Lo aka the Designer Deejays have been making a name for themselves in San Francisco's club scene, playing big parties at hot venues like Slide and Apartment 24. They're also holding it down at City Hall for New Year's, which will definitely be a hot ticket.
Besides their skills on the decks, as you can see by the joints below that they kindly sent over, their song selection is hot. Thanks guys.

Chubb Rock - Treat 'Em Right

Rene & Angela - I'll Be Good

Crookers - Big Money Comin'

LL Cool J - I'm That Type of Guy

The Kickdrums

Um, why haven't I heard about The Kickdrums until now? Their new mixtape "Things Don't Change" is a big delicious pie of indie dance beats and hip hop vocals. It seems as though it's harder and harder these days to find a mixtape on which everything is good, but on here everything is.

Here's the standout track for me: Justice remixed MGMT's "Electric Feel" and then Steve1der added Kanye's "Touch The Sky" to it. One of the best mashups I've heard in a long time.

MGMT vs Justice vs Kanye West - Electric Feel (Steve1der mash)

Now grab the whole mixtape here and rock out. Also look out for the sick mashup of Black Kids with Lil Wayne...

The Kickdrums - Things Don't Change (Mixtape)

Turnin Me On

Ooh this is so good. New fire from Keri Hilson featuring who else but Weezy.

deadmau5

Apparently Deadmau5 threw DOWN at LA's Hard Haunted Mansion this year.

Attention, booking manager at the Ministry of Sound or any other obscenely huge club: Please book me so I can play this track on your sound system over and over. Filthy electro.

Switch Ya Swag Up

New heat from Mississippi's Hot Dollar. My boys Big Syphe & Eric D-Lux have had this on heavy rotation on LA's Power 106...

The Worst DJ Gig Ever...according to D.J.P.

My man D.J.P. is one straight-shooting mother trucker...

If you're not familiar with D.J.P., or haven't been to Moon in Vegas to catch him at his residency, if you are a fan of mashups, you can thank him and Z-Trip, since they were the pioneers.

Lil Hipster Girl

New electro banger from Hollywood's own LMFAO...the guys that brought you "I'm In (insert city here) Bitch!"

LMFAO - Lil' Hipster Girl

N 2 Gether Now

I know you remember this. Ever since I took a certain ex-Limp Bizkit frontman out of the track, however, I can't stop playing it. Mef's flow is so tight on this, as always. Seems like it should have been this way originally.

Method Man - N 2 Gether Now (CAMS edit)

Oh Lykke....

I've talked about AutoErotique (aka formerly, VNDLSM) before. Really feeling their stuff.

Check their fresh remix of the fine Miss Lykke Li. Think I've played this song like 50 times straight.

Steve Aoki: new Weird Science track and Chester French remix

I am continually amazed by one Mr. Steve Aoki. Dude is tireless. Flying around the world bringing bangers to the masses is a tough job, but he does is very well. I pretty much love everything this guy touches.

First, one of the killer tracks off his recent essential mix for BBC's Radio One live in Ibiza, done with his partner in crime Blake Miller. Steve + Blake = Weird Science

Weird Science - Haus of Cards

Second, his remix of the title track from hot up and comers Chester French's new EP, signed to Pharrell's Star Trak label.

Chester French - She Loves Everybody (Steve Aoki remix)

P-Crizy

New heat from Philly. Love that slowed down Bmore beat.

Peedi Crakk - More Towels

Cosmo Baker live at The Do-Over

Gone for a minute...was damn sick. But I'm back with a real gem for you all, courtesy of Eli over at Outside Broadcast, which you all should read too.

Cosmo Baker of Brooklyn's infamous The Rub KILLS this set, live back in September at LA's savage party The Do-Over. If you can name every one of these tracks, including the marching band number in the middle, I'll let you DJ any party I'm ever at.

Viva La Hova

Oh no they didn't... Remember when Jay-Z and Linkin Park teamed up for Collision Course? If you liked that, you may or may not like this. But definitely worth checking out. Love the creativity. Props to Mick Boogie and Terry Urban.

Viva La Hova initially went up on illRoots but apparently crashed the server due to more than one download. Thanks to the homies at Frank151 for hosting it now...

Download it here.

Election Day body rock

It's Election Day, and I'm feeling all political and stuff. Since I'm tired of hearing Obama and McCain speak, I'm turning to another politician...Mr. Zach de la Rocha.

First, an edit of RATM's "Killing in the Name" that I did. Been waiting to unleash this on dance floors. You'll recognize a certain Jay-Z beat come in at the end.

Rage Against The Machine - Killing in the Name (CAMS edit)

Second, my favorite song from Zach's new band One Day As A Lion. de la Rocha and the drummer from The Mars Volta teamed up, and it sounds dope.

One Day As A Lion - Wild International
